Our Impact
The Becoming U Foundation works to expand access to support, opportunity, and well-being through a flexible, human-centered model of impact. Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when individuals have access to the right resources, at the right time, in ways that honor their lived experience and real-world needs.
Through direct support, storytelling, and community-based initiatives, we aim to reduce barriers, strengthen connection, and create pathways for growth and forward movement.
Story-Based Scholarships
This initiative is rooted in the belief that stories deserve more than acknowledgment—they deserve investment.
-
Story-Based Scholarships are designed to provide direct support to individuals whose lived experiences reflect resilience, growth, and the need for meaningful opportunity. Through this initiative, the Foundation uplifts personal narratives while helping reduce barriers to support, healing, and forward movement.
-
Too often, people carry powerful stories of hardship, healing, and perseverance without ever being met with tangible support. This initiative recognizes that stories are not only personal—they are powerful. They create connection, reduce stigma, and help others feel less alone. By pairing storytelling with resource distribution, the Foundation creates a model that is both deeply human and practically impactful.
-
Mental health and wellness support
Educational opportunities
Personal development experiences
Transitional or emergency support
Growth-oriented resources that help recipients move forward
-
Individuals are invited to share a personal narrative related to challenge, growth, healing, or transformation. Selected recipients receive financial support tied to their identified needs and goals. With consent, stories may also be featured through Foundation events, campaigns, or storytelling initiatives to foster connection and broader awareness.
Access to Support
We believe support should be responsive to people’s lives—not restricted by rigid systems.
-
Access to Support is the Foundation’s commitment to reducing barriers that prevent individuals from obtaining the care, resources, and opportunities they need. This area of work is intentionally flexible, allowing the Foundation to respond to real-life needs in ways that are practical, timely, and individualized.
-
Many people do not lack resilience—they lack access. Whether the barrier is financial, structural, emotional, or situational, unmet needs can delay healing, interrupt progress, and intensify instability. The Foundation exists to help close those gaps by directing resources where they can have the most meaningful effect.
-
Mental health and wellness-related expenses
Access to educational or developmental opportunities
Support during periods of transition, instability, or hardship
Funding for experiences or tools that promote well-being, connection, and growth
Community-based resources that strengthen stability and resilience
-
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model, the Foundation takes a responsive approach to support. We recognize that needs vary, and that effective support must be aligned with the realities of people’s lives. Our goal is not only to provide assistance, but to do so in ways that preserve dignity, increase accessibility, and create sustainable forward movement.
Community & Events
Through community-centered experiences, we aim to create not only impact, but connection, visibility, and momentum.
-
Community & Events brings people together through experiences that foster connection, awareness, giving, and collective impact. This area of work creates opportunities for individuals, families, supporters, and communities to engage with the Foundation’s mission in meaningful and memorable ways.
-
Support is not only financial—it is relational, communal, and cultural. Events and community-based initiatives help transform private struggle into shared understanding, while also creating visibility, reducing stigma, and generating resources for continued impact.
-
Fundraising events
Storytelling-centered gatherings
Awareness campaigns
Community engagement initiatives
Partnerships that expand visibility and access
Experiences designed to promote healing, connection, and resilience
-
These initiatives help build more than awareness—they help build belonging. By creating spaces where people can gather, reflect, give back, and connect, the Foundation strengthens both individual support and collective responsibility.
Join us in building a future where support is more accessible, more human, and more responsive to real life.
Apply for Support
If you’re navigating something difficult and in need of support, you’re in the right place.
This form is a space to share your story and let us know what you’re going through. You can include as much or as little as you feel comfortable—there is no “right” way to share.
Our team reviews each submission with care. While we are not able to support every request, selected individuals may receive financial assistance, resource connections, or opportunities to share their story as part of our work.
After submitting, you can expect:
A confirmation that your submission has been received
A thoughtful review process
Follow-up communication if there are next steps
We are currently in our founding phase, so response times may vary—but every submission matters and will be treated with respect and intention.
